Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the sweetest 4 day old! I've been dying to photograph a hammock HandSpun Creations gave to me to test out and little Grayson came along just in time. He was the perfect model to test this prop with because he nearly slept the ENTIRE time!  Here's the amazing photos we got using my new favorite prop!

Last week I got to photograph the tiniest, sweetest little baby boy. Hunter arrived 2 weeks early and was barely 6 lbs the day of his shoot. I love the photos we got!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph darling little Breken! After an hour and a half of fussing and 30 minutes of pure, sleepy bliss, we got so many great photographs! I'm so thrilled to share these with you :)

Earlier this week I got my hands on one of the tiniest babies I've ever photographed! Sweet, little Max was born 3 weeks early and weighed somewhere in the 5 pound range. So tiny and so precious. Plus he hardly made a peep the entire shoot!

Directly after Carsten's newborn shoot I photographed precious Daphine! I love the photos we got of her, but they didn't come without a challenge. The little sweetheart just wouldn't fall asleep. Photos when babies awake can be beautiful, but they are awfully hard to pose. 4 hours and a pizza break later, Daphine finally fell asleep and let us get these basket photos!! After that accomplishment, the wait was well worth it :)

Yesterday I bought new studio lights and props! I asked a couple of girls in my neighborhood who just had babies if they'd be willing to let me do a test shoot on their little ones. Of course they said yes and jumped on the opportunity! First I photographed sweet little Carsten. He was a total dream to work with.. especially for being 3 weeks! Here's some of the fun shots we got :)

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph my cousin's adorable twins! It's hard to believe that these two were already 2 months old the day of their photoshoot. Kaden and Brooklyn entered into the world 8 weeks early, each weighing less than 3 pounds! They were fighters and were finally able to go home about a month later. Here's some of the cuteness I got to photograph!

Last week I got to photograph sweet little Ashton's newborn portraits. He was so calm, beautiful and amazing to work with!

It was back to the basics with Emily's newborn shoot! Her parents weren't big fans of crazy props or detailed backdrops. Photographing a simple newborn shoot almost  shook up my groove! But I think they turned out fabulous. Glad to know I'm not 100 % dependent on the fun props that I've gotten so used to! ;)

Introducing our beautiful daughter, Emberly Atkins! Born March 26, 2011 at 1:36 in the afternoon. Weighing in at 7 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long. We are so thrilled to finally hold this little girl in our arms. She's our world! :)

Congrats to the Ritz family on their new baby boy! Bentley was amazing during his newborn shoot. He fell asleep rather quickly and let me do some fun poses with him. Truly a dream baby to work with :)

Congratulations to Heather and Peter on their new little bundle of joy! Kambree put up a good fight the entire shoot, but I just love the photos we got. She is absolutely adorable!

This shoot is actually a little over 2 months old. It took the parents a while before they decided to just get all of the photos! :) Avery is absolutely beautiful. I probably got more photographs when her eyes open than any other baby, but of course I still love the sleeping ones the most...

Earlier this week I took newborn portraits for a family friend we knew in Texas. My family used to live there many many years ago! Sweet little Carsen is so darling. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to photograph her :)

I took Hannah's maternity portraits a little over a month ago and was so excited to get the call that her sweet baby Alyson was born! She was totally adorable :)

Congratulations to Janet and Charles on their absolutely adorable baby boy! I just love it when brides and grooms I've photographed come back to me after they have children. I had so much fun with these two on their wedding day, I couldn't wait to photograph their little bundle of joy :)

I took these photos of darling little Alyvia last month during my studio special. She fussed for a couple of hours and wouldn't stop wiggling, although you'd never know by looking at these photos!

Last week I got to photograph my cousin's newest arrival, Bridger! He's totally adorable and looks just like his big brothers :)

Yesterday I photographed a darling 3 week old in my new (partially complete) basement studio! The lighting was fabulous and I had so much room to work with. I love how little Kalou's photos turned out. Hope you all do too!

I just finished up a shoot with an adorable 4 week old named Jaxson. I used to work with Jaxson's mom a few years back and even photographed their wedding 3 years ago. It was nice to play catch up and to meet the newest member of her family :)

The past couple of days I've been on a major prop hunt for newborn portraits. I've been pretty bored with my usual stuff and thought it was about time to upgrade. I tested out a few of my new props on 5 day old Ryder. Aren't the pictures just too cute?!

Yesterday I photographed a beautiful 10 day old little girl named Taytum. She was so tiny and precious. She was fighting to fall asleep for the first half of the shoot, but once she gave in we got some beautiful shots!

Friday after Madison's shoot I photographed a darling one month old named Maya. She did SO fabulous and was flying through the poses I typically do for newborns. Because of this I was able to try out some new poses on her :)

I photographed Jordan and Diego's engagements last year and was thrilled to hear that they have a little baby girl for me to photograph :) So cute!

Congrats to ShaeLynn and Camron on their new little baby boy, Easton who will actually be a week old tomorrow! Before their shoot I headed to the store to pick up some new baby props. I'm so excited with how they turned out I could squeal!! Eeep!
