fall family portraits
I've been photographing several single mommies with their kiddos lately. I have to be honest, I'm enjoying it! These mothers are so strong and amazing. I loved the Wilcox's family session! The girls totally took after their mother. Total sweethearts!
I had an awesome session with my sister and her cute kiddos a couple weeks ago. After every session with them I always think it'll be hard to top that shoot off the following year. Somehow each year we manage to top the previous session! I LOVE these photos <3
Thanksgiving week I had a session with the ever so adorable Nhem and Lindsay children. They wanted to get some cute cousin, sibling and individual portraits. We also snuck in a photo of one of the families as well :)
Last week I photographed my brother and his cute family! The only way we could get their handsome little guy to smile was if daddy balanced him on his hand! Silly boy :)
A couple of weeks ago I had a fabulous shoot with the Condrat family! Last year one of their son's purchased a gift card for his parents during his band portrait session. I was super excited to finally do a session with the entire family... including the pups!
Last week I had a fabulous shoot with the Gettings family! They were so awesome to make a good 45 min trip to have me take their portraits out on The Great Salt Lake! The Gettings have three handsome boys with great smiles. I love their pictures and hope you all do too!
Last month I photographed the Sanders family at the top of the canyon. Sadly the fall colors disappeared quicker than we anticipated but I think we still got some wonderful shots! Everyone was freezing but I love all the great smiles :)
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing the Tulett family again! Every year we've been booking their fall sessions earlier and earlier and somehow manage to always miss the "perfect" fall colors at a certain location in the canyon! I do love the place we decided on at the last minute though. Their 3 boys are a little rambunctious, but they're always keeping me on my toes and making sure my photo editing and head swapping skills are up to par ;) I love this family!
Last weekend I had an awesome time photographing the Dean family! They were so fun and outgoing and the youngest little girl was a total diva! She struck all her own poses for me and begged that I'd take some more after we were done. So so cute! I can't believe how gorgeous the fall colors are in the mountains already. If you haven't booked your fall session yet, better hurry fast before you miss out!
Over Thanksgiving weekend some of the Booth siblings went in on a family portrait package and each got their own family pictures taken! Here's a peek at what we got!
A couple weeks ago I photographed the Tulett family! It's been two years since their last family session and since then they've added a new little one to the bunch! Congrats, he's just darling!
In September I photographed darling little Breken for his newborn portraits. Last week I had the opportunity to photograph their entire family! The fall colors were gorgeous and the photos turned out great!
Last week I photographed the Kruckenberg's who are a darling family with adorable children! Even though noses turned red and fingers went numb from the cold, everyone did fabulously and we got some really great shots!
I was so excited this last Saturday to photograph my neighbors and friends from church! The Hoffman's have THE most adorable little boy, Finn! There's quite a few of us in this neighborhood who have had children within this past year, most of us had girls. I kind of chuckle when all of the mommies refer to Finn as their daughters boyfriend ;)
Yesterday I had the opportunity to photograph the Miles family, who are related to the Plummer's! Here's some of my favorites photos from our session.
This past weekend I had the pleasure of working with the Bell family! Originally we had just planned to take senior portraits for their son, but we decided on family portraits as well! Here's a look at some of my favorites from our session together.
Last week I had an amazing session with Katee and Danny...one of my previous bride and grooms! They brought along their little fur babies and the photos turned out gorgeous!
Early last week I had the opportunity to photograph the Dunn family! They had already decided that they wanted pictures done near the top of the canyon, which I was really excited about. We took the photos in a spot where I've only done summer photo shoots. The fall colors already looked gorgeous and the family was pretty darn good looking as well! Here are some of my favorite shots!
This family really had me laughing with their idea of a family Halloween portrait. All of their costumes were great and very creative! Seriously, check out the Grandpa there in the middle and one of the dad's on the left side. I LOVE it!
There's no colored photos in this blog entry. Shocking, I know! But I just love love love how the Goodwins photo shoot looks in black and white, so I refused to post any in color!
Last week I photographed one of my favorite families... the Rudys! They've all changed so much since their last session and look fantastic! I love this bunch and also loved the beautiful red leaves and other amazing colors in the background of their photos :)
I had a fun time photographing the Erickson's the other day. They really love downtown and pointed out a really great spot I'd never seen before. These are the cute shots we got :)
Last Christmas my cousin's made up a gift certificate for family portraits taken by me and gave it to their mom. Well a couple weeks ago she redeemed that gift certificate and we took some beautiful family portraits up in the canyon!
Fall is always a tricky time of year if you're wanting perfect fall colors in your portraits. Last year it got cold so fast that I swear fall never really came! This year it seems to be showing up quite slowly. It's always hard to know when to book your portraits. If you wait too long you'll miss the colors, if you book too early there wont be enough! The Brown's were my first fall session of the year. Luckily there was a little bit of color in the mountains to make it look pretty!
Yesterday I headed to Salt Lake to photograph family reunion photos of the Kuehne family!
Here's a little preview of the great shots we got...
Yesterday after the Goldhardts session I headed out to my second shoot of the day which was the Laro family...
Earlier today I photographed the ever so darling Goldhardt family at a church in Salt Lake that I haven't been to in years! It was fun to see the newly remodeled grounds. So pretty!
Today I did a fabulous shoot of the Quick family! All of their photos always turn out so fantastic as you can see from last years fall photos. For this reason, I'm forced to post a ton of photos! =)
As many of you know today is freezing outside, but that didn't stop the Bryner family from getting their fall portraits done!
Yesterday I headed down to the Provo Canyon to photograph the ever so darling Rash family. Here are my favorites from the shoot...
