Lindsay & David Plummer

Saturday I headed out to Idaho Falls to photograph my first out of state wedding! Yes it was only a few hours away, but out of state none the less :) Sooo congrats to Lindsay and David who were married on June 6th at the Shilo Inn (on mine and Ian's anniversary)!!

I photographed Lindsay and David's engagements and also designed their wedding invite. That's all they had originally planned for me to do until they got their photos back. After Lindsay saw the engagement photos she got a hold of me and wanted me to photograph their wedding as well. I was thrilled!

Lindsay has a gorgeous little girl named Lei Lani and I just love the mommy daughter moments I captured of the two of them before the ceremony.

The ceremony was very pretty and the couple was lucky enough to have Lindsay's father marry them :)

The wedding was originally planned to be outside, but rain storms changed these plans. Luckily, the rain died down and we were able to take photos of the wedding party out by the water.

The scenery and colors were bold and vibrant, which really helped the photos look even more beautiful.

And of course we made sure to squeeze in some couple photos before we headed back in for the reception...

After we finished the couple photos we headed inside to do a pretty hilarious cake cutting (apparently no one told them that the bottom of the cake was fake, so they had a pretty difficult time cutting it!) and I also got some beautiful photographs of their rings.

On the way home, my husband and I stopped off in Malad where my Grandfather was buried. He passed away almost 15 years ago and I haven't stopped by to see him since. I was really grateful for my opportunity to photograph Lindsay and David's wedding so that I had the chance to stop by, have a quick photo taken, and head back home. I love and miss you Grandpa!!!!

What beautiful pictures. The colors are awesome! Hope you got to celebrate a little too!

I guess you can say we celebrated by sitting in backed up car crash traffic for over an hour, eating at McDonnald's, and visiting my grandpas grave! hah
we did go to zion back in march as our combine birthdays/early anniversary trip. so no worries ;)
