Carlton & Jorie Getz
After David and Mandy's wedding I headed up to Alta Lodge to photograph another gorgeous wedding!

Jorie got in contact with me back in October. She was looking up wedding locations and came across Michelle and Robert's wedding here at Alta Lodge. She loved both the photos I took of them and the location and decided to book both! I couldn't be more thrilled. I love the beautiful green scenery and wild flowers Alta has to offer!

Even though just earlier that day we were roasting in West Jordan, the weather here in Alta was looking a little frightful. It actually started raining during the ceremony! I loved every minute of it though. I'd take sprinkles over harsh sunlight any day. Plus, isn't that background breath taking?!

This is the last photo I got of the couple before Jorie decided enough was enough! It was time to move the ceremony indoors. Although, I wont be posting any of the indoor photos. I'm so glad Jorie lasted as long as she could so we could get these amazing shots outside!

Of course, as soon as we all moved inside the rain stopped. Perfect timing for wedding party and couple photos!

Due to the rain, Jorie's cute blue shoes started to bleed. Thus changing her toes blue! hah! We talked about photoshopping her toes, but I just had to post this memorable moment :)

I had to get a picture of Jorie wearing men's hiking boots too! Who wants to romp around through the mud in wedding shoes anyway?!

During dinner I went around taking some detail shots of the rings, cake and cute little odds and ends that Carlton and Jorie made.

The two have traveled ALL over the place in the past 2 years they've been together. Because of this, they came up with the most creative seating idea I've ever seen! Each table had a photo of them at a vacation spot. Weather it be state wide or out of the country. Each guest had a plane ticket which led them to their "destination" that had little luggage tags with their names on it! Too cute!

Carlton and Jorie even made up a wedding passport that had photos and information about their lives.

Now we'll skip straight over to the first dance. . .

Congrats again you two! Wishing you a very fabulous marriage :) Thanks again for the roses. You are too sweet!

I attended the wedding....BEAUTIFUL photos!
Wendy, you did an absolutely beautiful job with this wedding! The ceremony didn't even look like it was raining. I love the outdoor in the field shots. How far did you have to walk to get to all the beautiful flowers? And I'm so glad you took pictures of their travel theme. Now I don't have to try to explain it it. Kudos to your quickness in getting these online and your professional, yet personal style of photography. Wish there was a wedding I could recommend you. Being in Illinois, I can only praise you from afar.
Warmly, Di Murray
Wendy, You are so talented! Thanks for shooting an Alta wedding last year so that Carlton and I could find you!
Jorie
These are gorgeous. I love the photos of Jorie and Carlton in the mountains with the wildflowers. A forever memory! How did you remove the raindrops? Just fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you everyone! We didn't stray too far from the roads to reach the wildflowers. You just have to drive into the basin. As for the raindrops.. I didn't remove them. You can see them if the photo is MUCH larger! :)
I agree...breathtaking! You can tell the difference when it's not too sunny outside, and it definitely adds to the photos!
Was there Jorie is my neice,I couldnt be more proud of this beautiful couple...and goes without saying "what a perfect wedding!"
When it started raining, my primary concern was Jorie and Carlton's long awaited pictures in the wildflowers. I obviously did not need to worryl And, they obviously knew what they we doing when they selected Wendy to photograph the wedding! Wonderful pictures! Cannot wait to see them all! Thank you!
